The BCS Mini Pipe Inspection System (MPIS) is a set of optical measurements heads, fixtures and supporting rings which allows to scan a profile of internal surface of small and extra small pipes, stators, cylinders, etc. This miniature optical inspection system comes in handy for smaller pipework. For diameters 15 mm to 40 mm.

Straightness measurement is performed with an integrated PSD module that measures deviation from a reference laser beam. An external laser source is needed when a straightness (alignment) option is ordered. A straightness option is available on request for a few models of ROTs.
Scanning is Performed by a Rotating Laser Sensor
Measurement heads have onboard a rotating laser scanner, encoder and straightness detector*. It combines the sensors data to get the full 360 ̊ cross-sectional profile of the pipe or stator.
To measure the pipe, the probe is consistently moved to the required cross‐section. Measured data and is sent to PC where the algorithms calculate such parameters as inner diameter, ovality, deviation of the profile from the reference, etc.

Any Holes, Pipes, Cylinders Barrels and Bores with damage with magnification. - Measures the Following Parameters
Rifling.
Flank angles.
Lands and grooves. - Identify and Measure
Surface defects.
Cracks and pitting.
Holes and barrel wear.
Erosion and corrosion of the gun barrel.
Everything larger than 0.01 can be measured.
Poles engraved with depth measurement graduations. - Results
The results are also exported to computer for analysis at later date.
Digital grid overlay for determining the size of artifacts and objects.
Measurements displayed in real time with location and bore information. - Accuracy
It combines the sensors data to get the full 360 ̊ cross-sectional profile of all smooth bore and rifled barrels, with a +/-0.01 mm accuracy.
- Barrel or Bore Straightness
Will check non-straightness of all barrels and bores. - Chromium Coating
The sensor measures the barrel and bore coating thickness. - Self Moving Option
Converts system to automatic mode.
