The BCS Large Borescope Inspection System (LBIS) is equipped to handle a wide variety of remote visual inspection needs. Ideally suited for all Large Artillery and Armoured Vehicles, Specialty Pipes & Tubes from 80 mm to 300 mm. The Pipe length is up to 100 mtrs.

Measuring principle – rotating laser scanner – usually from one to four sensors (the price depends in the number of sensors (channels) inside that have overlapped measuring ranges. The system can scan the cross-section (thousands of points for a cross-section). Suitable for profile analysis. Centering is made in the form of expanding legs.

Large Borescope Inspection System (LBIS Borescope) is the most advanced unit available. It measures a range of parameters (inner diameter, ovality, out-of-roundness, non-straightness, barrel threading, rifling/profiling width/height and rifling angle).

Rotating Laser 2D Scanners

The probe has five different measurement channels: rotating laser 2D scanner(s), encoder, inclinometer, distance gauge, and straightness detector. It combines the sensors data to get the full 360 ̊ cross sectional profile of the pipe or stator and finally the point cloud of the inner surface for the full length of the bore. Based on the exceptional number of precisely measured points, diameters and lobe parameters are calculated.

Basic Specification

    It combines the sensors data to get the full 360 ̊ cross-sectional profile of all smooth bore and rifled barrels, with a +/-0.01 mm accuracy.
