Air Conditioning Units, are a potential source of Legionnaires’ disease. Additionally, an unhygienic system may lead to the growth of slime (biofilm) which can clog or foul system components (including the pads) which result in restricting the airflow and cooling capacity of the system. Any slime in your system is an indication it is cultivating harmful bacteria.

Fogging the Ductwork
In large HVAC systems, where airflow is distributed via ductwork and passes through Air Handling Units (AHU), “fogging” is the quickest and most efficient way to cover 100% of air ducts and indoor areas.
Highest efficiency is achieved by using BCS Coil Cleaner delivered by ULV-fogging machine, set to the smallest droplet size possible (to avoid soaking of indoor surfaces). BCS Coil Cleaner Is Thus Applied To
- Inside surfaces of AHU room
- Inside surfaces of the AHU itself (while the AHU is turned off)
- On pre-filters/filters or blowers while the AHU is in operation*
Since airducts connect all rooms in the building, aerosolized BCS Coil Cleaner will be distributed by the HVAC system through the ductwork and circulate in the airflow, covering all areas
- Treating all indoor areas, air and surfaces.
- Treating AHU filters, preventing any “goo” forming on them and extending their working life.
- Removing all pathogens in the AHU room, inside the AHU, the ductwork and all indoor areas.
- Liquid BCS Coil Cleaner is effective when used in water drainage systems, as it stops bacterial buildup and prevents blockages and clogging of the drainage pipes.
Contamination in Hvac Systems
Many studies have proven that the heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC) systems can become contaminated with organic pollutants, bacteria, and fungi, as well as by particulate matter derived from mice, insects, and nematodes.
Since the ducting systems confect’s all rooms in the building, if building’s central HVAC system is contaminated, bacteria will continue to grow in the ductwork and circulate in the airflow, spreading to every area.

Special Note
If the area you are treating has a particularly difficult problem with molds or fungi, problems with suspected microbial infections or a history of odors or history of reported respiratory discomfort by occupants, we highly recommend first washing the cooling coils and filters with Coil Duct Cleaner Spray, then installing double the recommended amount of Air Purification gel for the first 30 to 40 days.
