The V-84MB1 battle tank engine is designed for installation on T-90 and T-72 tanks.
Differences
V-84MB-1 diesel has the following differences from the V-46-6 tank engine:
V-84MB-1 diesel has the following differences from the V-46-6 tank engine:
- The branch pipe for connecting the oil drain hose from MC-1 is turned in the other direction.
- Pipes for supplying coolant to the heating cavity of the upper half of the crankcase, squares for draining the coolant from the block heads are not installed.
- A forced crankcase ventilation system is applied, for this a cover with a branch pipe is installed on the oil separator for removing crankcase gases through an air cleaner.
- The crankcase on the side of the toe of the crankshaft has a socket for installing an emergency oil pressure sensor on the 8th support.
- Exhaust pipes are not installed. Instead of them, protective shields are placed.
